Packaging Design for Timney Triggers

Project Background

This project represents a collaboration between the structural packaging design expertise of Pixel & Timber and the graphic and brand design genius of Fisher Design. The project yielded new packaging designs for Timney Triggers — a second generation company that has been building the worlds finest triggers since 1946. During this project, our team was asked to design a novel packaging system for Timney’s line of high end drop-in trigger systems that reflects the quality and legacy of their iconic brand. The results were debuted at Shot Show 2020.

Concept Development

The images below show a handful of conceptual renderings developed over the course of the project. These highlight the two major structural directions the project took. The first was a jacketed “book” with thermoformed inserts to showcase both sides of the product, a magnetic closure, and a sleeve for printed material. The second included a set of thermoformed trays in a simple carton. Both were designed to highlight the flawless craftsmanship and precision of their contents.
