Job Description

Pixel & Timber is seeking a full-time Design Assistant to join our team in Northside.

Founded in 2017, Pixel & Timber provides lean product design and development services to clients in the medical device, equipment and consumer packaged goods industries. 

We’re seeking an adventurous jack-of-all-trades to act as an assistant to our founder and partners and facilitate operations in our shop. Responsibilities will vary widely and frequently. Daily tasks may range from workshop maintenance to rapid prototyping to driving a prototype cross country. The right applicant will have some background in art, fabrication or Making, be personally invested in their work, and have the courage to step up to any new challenge. Skills Required

• Self-motivated

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience in fabrication, rapid prototyping, or electronics

Areas of Responsibility

• Rapid Prototyping Support (e.g. SLA, FDM, SLS, finishing, et al.)

• Fabrication Support (e.g. welding, woodworking, mechanical and electrical assembly, et al.)

• Boat Building

• Shop Maintenance

• Shipping

• Sourcing

• Driving

Position

• $35,000 - 45,000 annual salary
